We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated R&D Electronics Technician with expertise in troubleshooting component-level issues on traffic signal controllers and other related devices, a strong command of Linux systems, and basic MCU programming skills. As a key member of our research and development team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our electronic systems.

Responsibilities:

Component-Level Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve hardware issues at the component level on traffic signal controllers and electronic systems. This includes diagnosing and repairing faulty components such as capacitors, resistors, ICs, and connectors.

Linux System Proficiency: Utilize your Linux expertise to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot embedded Linux systems used within our traffic signal. You will be responsible for software installations, updates, and ensuring system stability.

Basic experience with Mentor Xpedition for schematic and PCB layout maintenance.

Basic MCU Programming: Develop and modify firmware for microcontroller units (MCUs) as needed. Write and test code to control and optimize the performance of electronic components and interfaces.

Test and Evaluation: Create test plans and procedures to assess the functionality and performance of traffic signal controllers and other devices. Document test results and collaborate with the R&D team to make necessary improvements.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to the design and development of new products. Provide technical insights and feedback to improve product designs.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of your work, including schematics, repair logs, and software configurations. Ensure that documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control activities to ensure that our electronic systems meet industry standards and performance expectations.

Qualifications:

A degree or diploma in electronics or a related field.

Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic components at the board level.

Proficiency in Linux systems administration and configuration.

Basic knowledge of ECAD tools, preferably Mentor Xpedition.

Basic programming skills, with experience in MCU programming.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.

Ability to work in a fast-paced research and development environment.
