**The** **System Application Support Specialist II- Supply Chain Admin** **will be responsible to:**
* Maintain department desktop computer system
* Provide support and training for department computer system applications. Develop and prepare user documentation and training materials
* Respond to requests from department users for information or assistance regarding application problems. Monitor, resolve or escalate help desk issues as appropriate
* Facilitate installation of new equipment/software. Manage system security and issue access as appropriate. Assist in integration of department software and participate in testing and implementation of systems installations and upgrades. Integrate department presentation needs via the network
* Assist with electronic learning resource
* Monitor work queues to identify trends and problem areas
* Develop and recommend changes in dept policies and procedures. Communicate new policies and procedures to staff
* Maintain Supply Chain product and vendor databases. Query tables in our procurement system to extract raw data and then turn that data into actionable information that enables decision making
* Recommend best practices for system and processes. Analyze areas within the Supply Chain Systems for opportunities for automation and recommend enhancements to improve quality, integrity, and overall department effectiveness.
* Perform troubleshooting as required.
* Participate in annual projects including testing of enhancements and analyze end results
**To qualify, you must have:**
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field with 2 years of experience is required
* The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems OR design relatively complex systems and programs
