Job Description Summary
The New Business Account Executive position is responsible for producing profitable business, by interaction with Benefit Administrators, C-suite employees, consultants and broker partners. This position is responsible for gathering, researching and resolving client requests for proposals, by creating a multi-dimensional sales strategy. Additionally this position synthesizes information and presents common issues, root cause analysis and suggested resolutions to senior leadership, including opportunities for future improvement. As part of this role, the associate conducts enrollment meetings, participates in market events, representing OhioHealthy in a positive and professional manner, presents to executive-level employees and brokers and is accountable for bringing new employer groups to OhioHealthy. Additionally, this position supports internal workflow and process requirements associated with new business and implementations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
BA or comparable work experience
Licensed agent in State of Ohio (Department of Insurance) or can become licensed within 180-days of start date
5-years experience with health care and/or applicable insurance industry knowledge
Ability to present to C-Suite level leadership
Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products
Excellent command of the English language
Must have 5-years of account management, project management and/or direct sales experience
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Clinical Care Management experience preferred
Pharmacy experience preferred
Network Management knowledge preferred
Major Duties/Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Responsible for producing profitable business by interaction with Consultants, Benefit Administrators, and OhioHealthy business units. This position researches and resolves client requests for proposals with a comprehensive sales strategy. Additionally this position synthesizes information and presents common issues and suggested resolutions to senior leadership. As part of this role, the associate conducts enrollment meetings, and participates in market events, representing OhioHealthy in a positive and professional manner. Additionally, this position supports the internal workflow and process requirements associated with new business quotes and implementations. This position is responsible for effectively managing customer and broker relationships, producing profitable business by interaction with Consultants, Benefit Administrators and OhioHealthy business units. Oversees and ensures timely resolution of all broker and prospect issues. This position additionally collects, categorizes and synthesizes information, presenting common issues and suggested resolutions to senior leadership. The position actively contributes to continual quality improvement and the client / member experience. Collaborates with internal sales & client leadership staff to meet client objectives. Coordinates efforts across the health plan to meet organizational and customer goals. Disseminates plan awareness among OhioHealthy Leadership. Collaborates with Optima Health staff to meet OhioHealthy objectives. Manages the internal workflow and process requirements associated with new business quotes and implementation. Effectively manages customer and broker relationships by providing customized and individual solutions, performing research and linking members with appropriate providers and programs. Provides customer education and support. Active involvement in extra contractual claims, providing support and direction to customers in making determinations. This person must display strategic leadership and leading without a title/servant leadership principals. Additionally responsible for establishing and leading resolution and quality improvement meetings designed to improve identified customer issues. Provides concierge service to brokers and employers who require high-touch support in order to earn the business, providing in person consultation when necessary. Will assist with development of account support plans for new clients as part of a comprehensive sales strategy from start to finish.
Will assist with the transition of new members into the benefit. Will manage implementation of sold clients by gathering all required documentation from client and/or broker and working with internal business partners until a group number is issues. Will participate in post install analysis and process improvement meetings to provide input in development of future enhancements. Collaborates with internal sales partners & client leadership staff to meet objectives. Coordinate efforts across the health plan to meet organizational and customer Goals.
