Civitas Senior Living, a growing leader in the senior housing market, is seeking a dynamic, accomplished hospitality professional to join our team as a Traveling Chef Specialist. This position reports to the Vice President of Food & Beverage, and is a traveling position. Supporting Civitas' mission and purpose, this role will be responsible for providing hands on implementation, training, and oversight of food & beverage programs and operations for a designated region of the Civitas Senior Living portfolio. This position will work in state-of-the-art assisted living, independent living, and memory care communities in a multi-state environment. Some duties of this position will include:
Hands on, on-site community food & beverage support for assigned communities
New management on-boarding & training and daily support contact for communities
Ensuring communities execute Civitas F&B Standards and Programs
Support Corporate Marketing special event support/oversight for assigned communities
Provide weekly progress/updates for VP F&B as assigned, via Weekly Update Calls
Provide community coverage for vacant Chef Manager/F&B Director roles as assigned by VP of F&B
Assist VP, Food & Beverage with menu development, product R&D, and new programs to maintain “first in class” foodservice offerings
As a member of the corporate food & beverage team, being a strategic partner in the areas of departmental financial results, business development, and regulatory compliance are additional areas of responsibility.
The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in hospitality or culinary management or a related degree program, 5 years' experience in a senior management role in hospitality or culinary operations. Experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
