About the Role
The Company is seeking a strategic and experienced SVP of Operations for its Standard Commercial and E&S/Specialty divisions. The successful candidate will be a thought leader in claims and operations, driving the long-term strategy and transformation of business execution. This role involves overseeing the organization's claims, indemnity, operations, business delivery, and data services, with a focus on the profitable management of a significant book of business. The SVP will be responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of servicing and process operations, and maintaining a strong performance-driven culture. Additionally, the role requires executive leadership in areas such as performance management, talent development, and fostering a work environment that aligns with the company's values.Applicants for the SVP of Operations position should have an undergraduate degree in a related field, with a graduate degree preferred, and hold CPCU and E&S/S industry-specific designations. A minimum of 20 years of experience in business operations, claims, regulatory, analytics, and budget management is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge of specialty lines insurance underwriting, risk, and the regulatory environment, as well as advanced skills in analytics, modeling, and data fluency. Strong leadership abilities, strategic agility, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The SVP will be expected to exercise independent judgment and make sound business decisions, with a focus on creatively solving unique and challenging business problems.
