Job DescriptionJob Description
Provides hands-on support to New Product Design Engineering through assembling and testing. This role will also support Sustaining Engineering on Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) through modification of drawings, BOM’s (Bill of Materials) and Routers. Work will include supporting projects with moderate scope and/or complexity and minimal supervision from engineers and supervisors.
Key role responsibilities
· Assemble parts and test equipment for testing per procedures
· Validate designs and test prototypes for new and existing designs
In performing assigned duties, frequently lifts / moves up to and including 50 lbs. Standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing are all required motions of the job.
Performs all work in a safe manner, to include proper use of personal protective equipment.
Some movements may involve repetitive motion.
· Collection of raw data using Microsoft Excel and data acquisition software per procedures
· Support ECO documentation, including the development of drawings, BOM’s and routers qualifications and experience
· Two-year technical degree (STEM desired) or equivalent experience
· Lab testing experience
· Demonstrated skill in using personal computers including Microsoft Office etc.
· Knowledge of ECO Processes
· Skills using an ERP system
· Demonstrated skills in attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to utilize written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with people across multiple functional areas (manufacturing, quality and operations)
· Ability to organize and plan workload and work in a self-directed manner
· Ability to build and maintain work relationships across functional areas
