Finance Manager
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager who will focus their efforts on our sales operations analytics to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing our sales processes, providing insights to enhance operational efficiency, and supporting the sales team in achieving their objectives. This position based in Dedham, MA and is required to be in the office 4 days per week.
This role requires attention to detail, project management skills, independent thinking, and a passion for optimizing processes to drive sales excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of company trade spend. Monitor and analyze trade performance and ROI, ensure trade spending is managed within budget parameters.
Develop and implement trade program guidelines including comprehensive monthly trade spend reporting and metrics. Facilitate monthly spending review meetings with sales team. Support the development of corrective actions as needed.
Establish control processes surrounding trade management. Ensure trade promotions are entered into trade management tools accurately and in a timely manner. Work closely with accounting department to ensure trade and deductions are accounted for correctly.
Build strong relationships, rapport, and credibility with sales team to implement sales strategies including new distribution, shelf-space, price elasticity, customer category reviews, etc.
Support the development of Annual Operating Plan, business planning, and forecast processes. Partner with Sales team to develop trade spend, volume, and revenue targets across brands and customers.
Provide reporting and analytics support to sales including creating and maintaining monthly scorecards and key performance indicators (KPIs). Establish and maintain management reporting, provide data analysis on volume, gross sales, trade spending, net sales by brand and customer.
Conduct category and market analysis to understand competitive landscape and identify potential areas of opportunity.
Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting across multiple data sets and tools.
Work on cross-functional business teams to support key initiatives including new products launches, forecasting, demand, and supply planning, and customer service.

Your background
5+ years of experience in finance supporting sales, operations and marketing teams
Advanced excel skills to manage and analyze large data sets
Bachelors degree
Fluency in MS Office, experience in NetSuite, SPINs, IRI, Nielsen or other market data tools
