Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Manager of Technical Accounting performs a broad range of corporate accounting functions. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting, this role will be primarily responsible for assessment of new or complex accounting issues arising from both business transactions and the implementation of new accounting pronouncements, as well as ad hoc technical accounting research. This role will also be assisting in the preparation of the company’s SEC filings, and the position will play an essential part in ensuring the accuracy of the company's external financial reporting. The individual selected for this position will interact with all levels of management, ensure timely and accurate reporting and assist with multiple financial projects and initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the SEC reporting process including preparation and review of the Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, 8-K and other SEC filings, as well as related XBRL requirements with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement
Proactively monitor accounting and financial reporting rules as well as a working knowledge of SEC disclosure and reporting requirements
Assess the impact of proposed accounting literature on the business as well as accounting and financial reporting processes
Prepare documentation of significant accounting matters and/or accounting positions that will be communicated with external auditors
Provide accounting guidance for all corporate transactions and initiatives, which will include collaboration with Treasury, Investor Relations, Tax, Legal and other departments
Respond to technical accounting inquiries from field operators, finance staff and external auditors. Communicate internal accounting policies and accounting updates to finance organization and external auditors
Lead the implementation and documentation of new accounting technical literature and SEC regulations
Provide management with recommendations or comments to ensure compliance with accounting standards
Manage the preparation and review of the earnings release, financial tables and external presentations
Assist with accounting and reporting for equity transactions
Assist in the preparation and documentation surrounding Omnicell’s annual goodwill and intangible impairment testing, and Purchase Price Allocations on as needed basis
Perform special projects as needed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Technical knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations
Demonstrated analytical and research skills
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with senior management and cross functionally
Ability to manage multiple projects with demonstrated organizational skills and superior attention to detail
Experience with Workiva strongly preferred
Experience with SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, XBRL tagging, etc.) strongly preferred
REQUIREMENTS:
CPA (active)
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Minimum four (4) years of experience in public accounting OR
A combination of four (4) years in public accounting and a position in a technical accounting function
WORK CONDITIONS:
Office Environment - Remote. Candidates in PDT, MDT or CDT preferred
Flexibility to devote additional effort during peak periods. Ex. Quarter End
