As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of products within our retail space. This role demands a keen understanding of market trends, competitive behavior, and customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in category management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive results through strategic planning and effective execution.
**Key Responsibilities: **
- Develop and execute category strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable terms.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop promotional strategies.
- Oversee pricing and inventory management to achieve financial targets.
- Analyze sales performance and adjust strategies as necessary to meet sales and profitability goals.
- Present category insights and strategies to senior management regularly.
**Requirements: **
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in category management, retail management, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and category management software tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
