Compensation: $45,000-50,000 / Full-time exempt
Reports to: General Manager

Position Summary:
- Single point of contact for all property and equipment preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoots and repairs hotel equipment, facilities, and IT systems.
- Performs preventative maintenance, makes regular inspections, diagnoses potential problems, and stays within budget.
- Oversees security and maintenance employees.

A Day in the Life:
* Maintains and builds a strong sense of community, integrity, and brand for all who visit and work in our hotel. Embodies outrageous hospitality.
* Responsible for providing outstanding leadership to the maintenance and security team.
* Works closely with AGM for hiring, training, and scheduling team members.
* Creates weekly schedules for the maintenance and security team. Fills in on vacant shifts.
* Tracks and approves employee time cards.
* Works closely with third party IT vendors to troubleshoot and correct all IT issues, on a 24/7 basis.
* Implements and schedules property and equipment preventive maintenance programs in compliance with all company standards, local, state and national codes and regulations to ensure safety, convenience and satisfaction of all guests, managers and employees, to protect the assets and maintain the property in first class condition.
* Manages and frequently updates preventative maintenance software program for logging and action.
* Maintains the aesthetic of the hotel.
* Oversees fire and life safety procedures; tests fire prevention system regularly.
* Ensures all equipment is checked on a regular basis for proper and efficient operation.
* Assists property accountant with all plant and asset accounting.
* Prioritizes and executes service requests; schedules subcontractors (if needed) and monitors the service performed to ensure guest satisfaction, safety and convenience.
* Frequently checks water boiler, HVAC, bathroom exhaust fans, building structure, roof condition, windows, meter reading, energy savings, environmental norms, laundry chute, laundry machines, and other property equipment needing regular maintenance.
* Monitors utility consumption to determine the effectiveness of current systems.
* Works closely with AGM to develop and uphold all SOPs and safety procedures.
* Works closely with the AGM to oversee departmental budget.
* Oversees waste disposal and recycling.
* Oversees snow removal and executes when necessary.
* Acts as security during busy time frames or in unsafe situations on property.
* Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
* Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
* Performs other duties or special projects as assigned by Leadership.

Experience and Qualifications:
* Previous hotel engineer experience is required.
* IT experience and/or knowledge preferred.
* High School diploma is required.
