The Retail Operations Analyst will be responsible for the identification of solutions to meet the business needs of both internal and external clients and stakeholders to help determine solutions to meet business needs, resolve business problems and provide business value. This candidate will specifically work for Sales / Operations systems support team within NRG Business, facilitating the delivery of analysis, projects and enhancements, working with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization to meet requirements as defined by the business. The ideal candidate will have experience in the agile project methodologies. This position will include a wide variety of tasks and requires the Analyst to multi-task and be very flexible with changing business and team priorities.
**Essential Duties/Responsibilities:**
* Interacts with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand project charters and business objectives to gather, document and analyze business needs and translate to requirements for project execution
* Utilizes business experience and skills to assess and advise on the practicality of alternatives, mitigating technical limitations with operational realities, to produce fit-for-purpose solutions.
* Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine the business requirements that provide value to both internal and external customers
* Works collaboratively with management, employees and project resources to execute on prioritized work and ensure deadlines are met with the expected level of quality
* Builds and maintains strong relationships with all project stakeholders, including IT and business stakeholder
* Provides level-of-effort regarding scope and complexity of business analysis deliverables and holds him/herself to the commitments made for business analysis deliverables.
* Manages requirements gathering and application gap analysis.
* Maps process in both current and future state to identify process improvements and the workflow for new or enhanced websites and applications
* Supports project teams through all aspects of project execution including requirements gathering, user story creation, execution of testing
* Drives process improvement initiatives for the Project Execution Team
**Working Conditions:**
* Open office environment
* Hybrid (1-2 days a week).
* Some overtime required as special projects arise
* Travel (add % of time or minimal, etc.)
**Minimum Requirements:**
* Bachelors degree; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
* A minimum of 2 years experience in analyzing and developing business processes and participating in business processes and system improvement efforts is preferred
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively to support the teams deliverables
* Experience with Microsoft Office
* Experience with SQL server, VBA, or Oracle

**Preferred**
* Bachelors degree with system / process development focus or quantitative field
* Experience in energy industry environment
**Physical Requirements:**
* Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is occasional opportunity to move about
