Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer that will be actively working with and participating in Repligen projects and product development from the engineering point of view, supporting our global business and growth.
Responsibilities:
As Mechanical Design Engineer your responsibilities will include the following:
Undertake daily engineering tasks in projects and solve complex technical tasks as per customer or user requirements.
Develop new mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer or internal user requirements and providing new, innovative solutions.
Support global engineering team in various internal and external (engineering) projects.
Provide engineering information to customers by answering technical question and communicate directly with clients and encourage trusting relationships
Prepare documentation, drawings and 3D CAD models for various projects and products.
Prepare cost calculations, budgets for various projects and products
Advise and support manufacturing, supply chain and other parts of organization regards technical and engineering questions and prepare manufacturing processes and documentation
Qualifications:
The successful mechanical Design Engineer has a positive, proactive & problem-solving mindset and meet the following requirements:
Good understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles & processes
Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
Well-Organized with a team oriented approach
Excellent knowledge of SolidWorks and mechanical design best practices
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to work outside normal office hours due to differing time zones
Ability to travel mainly in Europe, Asia and US
