Recruiter (Indirect Labor) Ontic has an opening for a highly motivated Recruiter (Indirect Labor). The Recruiter (Indirect Labor) will work closely with the local recruiters and Director of HR to perform candidate searches, review resumes, conduct candidate screening interviews by phone and in person, and prioritize potential candidates for placement on varied positions and projects.This role will be responsible for support open requisitions for non-production areas of the business (i.e. Sales, HR, Management, Senior Management, Customer Service, Order Management, Planning, Supply Chain, etc.)This position will be based out of our Chatsworth, CA facility. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Perform the full life cycle recruiting process of assessment, sourcing, identifying, vetting, selecting and hiring qualified candidates. Partner with hiring manager to assess position requirements through an intake discussion.
Create job postings, candidate searches, resume collection, candidate interviews and vetting, and prescreen onboarding process.
Search existing database to find potential candidates for current position openings.
Utilize various means to source candidates, such as through colleges and universities, professional associations, etc.
Screen and prioritize resumes by position and location.
Create, maintain and manage the employee recruitment database, Workday.
Conduct phone screenings and interviews with qualified candidates, making follow-up phone calls and using MS Outlook email invites.
Prepare correspondence, email, and other documents.
Cultivate relationships with universities to establish early career programs for Engineering and other specific fields of study, to help support future Talent growth.
Prepare, coordinate and manage offsite recruiting efforts, such as Career Fairs, Ontic Early Careers program in local High Schools.
Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.
Prepare confidential documents, such as Offer Letters, Employment Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements for signature and oversee the receipt and completion of executed documents.
Upon recruitment completion, partner with HR Generalist with onboarding process.
Establish, develop, maintain, and update recruiting database management system, trackers, including scanning paper files or saving electronic files, such as resumes and phone screen/interview forms, to ATS and retrieving information from files when needed.
Other duties and responsibilities not mentioned explicitly may also be required as needed.
Education and Experience: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and /or 4 years’ relevant experience as a full life cycle recruiter in a fast-paced manufacturing or aerospace AS9100 or Government contracting environment preferred.
Demonstrated success in filling positions within a 30-day timeframe.
Must have experience recruiting for multiple positions and clientele.
Minimum of 2 years of experience filling technical and production positions.
Experience with successfully managing offsite recruiting efforts such as Career Fairs, College Recruiting, Early Career Program implementations, etc.
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems such as Workday.
Abilities and Skills: Ability to speak easily and clearly on the phone with customers and potential candidates.
Ability to represent Ontic in the best possible light to customers and candidates.
Proficiency in cold calling potential candidates.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Work within a team on special or ongoing projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent documentation skills.
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to demonstrate advanced MS Word skills.
Must be able to work with, and maintain, confidential information.
Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
Must be a team player, proactive, and possess excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
While the role is based in Chatsworth, CA, there is potential for flexible working arrangements (hybrid/remote).
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
