Director of Sales - Retail
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.**
* Develops and implements sales plans to accommodate the corporate goals.
* Reviews market trends with an emphasis on determining future customer needs.
* Work with product and marketing managers on creative sales techniques that will drive sales.
* Analyzes sales statistics and trends to determine sales opportunities with current Retail Accounts with a focus on an evenly distributed product mix at profitable margins for Intermatic.
* Sells the Intermatic value to the market.
* Address and resolves issues regarding unauthorized deductions, fines, and charge backs.
* Creates and presents plan-o-grams, promotions, and new products presentations to accounts.
* Sells excess and obsolete inventory.
* Monitors and evaluates competitive activities and products
* Prepares and presents sales presentations showing sales attainment and potential sales volume.
* Develops close relationships with customers and manages representative sales agencies as appropriate.
* Manages direct reports to maximize efficiency and opportunity within the retail channel
* Travel 35% - 40%
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Bachelors Degree in Business or other applicable major, Masters preferred
* Minimum of 7 years of proven sales success with an emphasis on agency management
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite
* Excellent communication skills
* Demonstrated and understanding of market trends, industry issues and knowledge of competitors
* Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
* Ability to leverage support personnel to meet customer and organizational needs
