Regional Key Account Management of selected Customers and Opportunities
Successful delivery of revenue and profit targets for selected global key accounts
Accountable for the development & implementation of the strategy and operational plans for the selected Key Accounts to achieve sustainable and profitable sales.
Accountable for sales development (direct or indirect) throughout the value chain, from specifying Hempel coating systems to negotiating, closing deals and servicing the Account and its subcontractors,
Definition and delivery of the Hempel value proposition
Primary Hempel contact and negotiator for the assigned Regional Key Accounts, initiating and maintaining relations at all management levels and locations,
Leader of the Account team, selecting and deploying the full potential of the team to the mutual benefit of Hempel and the Account
Growth of the business: Value and/or Profit and/or Share of wallet
Direct contact with global key account stakeholders and their global subcontractors
Collaboration with other departments, and other functions' incl. finance, back-office, legal, complaints, SC
What do you need to be successful in this role?
Must have a strong commercial background and engineering preferred
Proven track record in sales with detailed knowledge and understanding of key account management
Experience within the engineering or fabrication industries is preferred
Min 5 years’ experience in sales
Results and customer orientated with focus on delivering short term results then able to create long term customer value
Sales management & business development capabilities
Ability to lead direct and indirect reports using coaching and mentoring skills
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Strong networking and negotiating skills,
Culturally astute
Ability to work both at a strategic level
Adept at stakeholder management
Ability to get things done in a timely manner
Open to travel as needed
