We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of employment law matters, including but not limited to, advising on EEOC compliance, labor relations, discrimination claims, and employment contracts. The ideal candidate should have a passion for employment law, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to provide sound and practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
As an Employment Law Attorney, your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing strategic legal advice on all aspects of employment law, including EEOC compliance, labor relations, wage and hour compliance, employment contracts, and employment-related litigation.
2. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to guide decision-making on complex employment law issues.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts and other related documents.
4. Representing the organization in employment-related disputes and litigation, including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims.
5. Providing training and guidance to HR and management on employment law matters, including EEOC compliance, employment policies, and best practices.
6. Staying abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations and ensuring the organization's policies and practices are in compliance.
7. Collaborating with other members of the legal team on cross-functional initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Employment Law Attorney role should have the following qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A current license to practice law in the state.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, with a focus on employment law matters.
4. Demonstrated experience in handling a broad range of employment law matters, including labor relations, wage and hour compliance, employment contracts, and employment-related litigation.
5. Excellent legal research and writing skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical legal advice.
6. Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of success in resolving employment-related disputes and litigation.
7. Up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
