**Overview**

CORT, a Berkshire Hathaway company, and a leader in the office furniture rental industry, is seeking a Workplace Regional Sales Manager in the Southeast region. The Regional Sales Manager will drive significant sales growth for the continued expansion of the Workplace division in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

Develop and execute sales strategies for commercial rental revenue growth. Hire, train and manage a multi city sales team that can produce significant rental revenue growth through the development of sales opportunities with existing and new customers across a variety of vertical industries.

This position pays a base salary, plus monthly car reimbursement, and is eligible for an annual management bonus.

Candidates in the following locations will be considered: Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, Tampa, Orlando, or South Florida (West Palm Beach to Miami).

**Responsibilities**

* Provide leadership and motivation to the sales team which results in high performance. The team will call on and convert high potential customers, is willing to take measured risks and display persistence, creativity and business acumen.

* Consistently meet or exceed budgeted revenue and unit growth for assigned sales region.

* Hire, train and manage a sales team capable of generating revenue growth through penetrating high potential vertical customer segments and employing advanced sales strategies.

* Develop the sales team to their highest potential by providing developmental plans to facilitate career paths.

* Work with Marketing to create effective sales campaigns, including email, telemarketing, tradeshows, referral groups and advertising campaigns.

* Think outside the box to expand the sales potential beyond the current product and service offerings.

* Review current market analyses and historical trends to determine revenue potential for new and existing customers; drive sales efforts to capitalize on highest potential opportunities.

* Regularly meet and maintain communication with the District General Managers and Operations Managers to ensure close coordination and gain the necessary support for commercial customer requirements.

* Coordinate communication between other sales regions and service centers to ensure that all customer opportunities are acted upon.

* Ensure that all sales personnel are consistently and correctly utilizing Salesforce and other sales tools to increase sales.

* Provide new and innovative sales approaches, techniques and coaching approaches to drive sales where existing methods are ineffective. Aggressively seek new customers segments and or selling techniques.

* Utilize Advanced Sales Training techniques (specialized sales training course provided by CORT) and coach Sales Team to apply these techniques.

* Work with sales team to develop individual sales plans that are uniquely tuned to local market potential, prioritized according to level of opportunity, setting the pace and direction for daily, weekly and monthly sales activities.

* Participate in trade associations and applicable organizations to represent the company and promote the value of our services.

* Create winning proposals that position the company to close new business and gain market-share over the competition.

* Carry out all managerial responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**

* Demonstrated history of driving substantial sales increases in a business-to-business environment

* Excellent people skills

* Ability and willingness to travel as required for supervision of Sales Team. The position will require travel upwards of 50%

* Proven successful track record in managing and motivating a sales force of 5 to 10 people

* Strong leadership qualities and professional presence with good communication and interpersonal skills

* Results driven

* Strong understanding of customer business objectives and purchasing criteria

* Ability to analyze and synthesize market and competitive data

* Possess a strategic as well as tactical perspective

* An understanding of how to work effectively across multiple departments

* Problem solving demeanor with an appetite for challenges

* Computer skills including MS Office and CRM Systems is required

* Excellent information organizational ability
