HVAC Journeyman Technician - 1,500 Sign on Bonus *$1,500 Sign-on Bonus for HVAC Experience
We are looking for aHVAC Journeyman Technician with experience to provide support to our energy efficiency programs located in San Diego, Ca . Our ideal candidate has four years of field experience and knowledge in maintenance and repair of HVAC projects.
Job Summary:
The HVAC Journeyman Technician will travel to each client’s location to inspect their current equipment, identify problems with their units, and perform necessary repairs or routine maintenance. This position will also provide i nstallation of energy-efficient weatherization measures such as lighting andHVAC,including repair work, modification, or replacement, with the highest quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Inspect customers current HVAC equipment, identify problems with their units, and perform necessary repairs or routine maintenance
Identify all material/ equipment needed to complete the project
Installation of energy efficiencymeasures such aswindows, doors, lighting, and minor home repairs
Must be able to troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues that arise during an installation /repair that would keep the equipment from functioning properly
Performing all necessary gas appliance tests to ensure safety
Keep worksite clean and safely dispose of the material
Actively contributes as a member of the project crew, providing and supporting the training of other members
Respond to customer inquiries
Ensure projects and schedules are met
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum one 1yearof HVAC field experience and HVAC Diploma or 4 years of HVAC field experience.
Must hold a valid EPA 608 Certification
Completion of an HVAC training program at a vocational school or apprenticeship
Proficient spoken and written English
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Participate in evening or weekend support when needed
Work well both independently and as a member of a high-performance team
Punctuality and ability to meet daily schedules
Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
Maintain a good driving record and valid driver’s license
Pass all background and drug screens
Position Type: Full-Time/Regular
Travel: Travel is required.
Pay Range: $29/hr - $40/hr DOE
*Sign-on bonus eligibility: New employee will receive $750 upon successful completion of 90-day introductory period and the balance will be paid after successful completion of 1 year of employment. Other qualifications may apply.
