This will be a hybrid role in our Newton, MA office.
What you will be doing:
Work with business team in understanding and documenting well defined requirements.
Serve as internal SME for assigned projects and answer all project related queries from team members, Business Analysts and the project team.
Work independently, with minimum supervision
Develop and review test plans and test strategy documents based on business requirements.
Create and execute detailed test cases based on functional specifications.
Modify and maintain existing test cases as needed based on updated functionality.
Participate in all aspects of testing, including Functional, System Integration, Regression and User Acceptance Testing.
Report, review and retest defects and ensure that all important defects have been resolved at the appropriate level prior to product release.
Provide input in creating Root Cause Analysis and defect triage discussions
Keep Test case repository updated with latest changes and execute on demand basis with industry standard testing tools.
Prepare and publish reports on Bug Analysis, Traceability on test coverage, KPIs, Release over Release trends on a regular basis.
Perform periodic gap analysis and plan to enhance test coverage
Collaborate with testing contributors to create heatmap on skills and effectively carve out plan to provide training, as needed
Work closely with Release manager on Pre/Post Production activities including a smoke test
Manage a team of Quality Engineer(s) across multiple projects and provide resource allocation on competing project priorities.
Work with manager in resolving any capacity issues and deliver Timeline/Scope driven quality deliverables
Motivate and support team members to expand their current skills and encourage them to learn and grow in their career paths
Exercise good judgment and collaborate with your manager in establishing strong quality management practices
What we hope you bring to the role:
At least 8 years experience in testing web-based and/or mobile applications, including 2-3 years of experience in leading projects with multiple team members.
Excellent communication skills
Bachelors degree in a related field
Experience in CRM supported automation tools; setting up a framework and design automation tests is a plus.
Strong knowledge and experience with industry standard defect management tools
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
Strong problem-solving capabilities
Experience in estimating time and resources for projects
Strong knowledge of quality management practices
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Experience working with offshore and geographically spread out development and testing teams
Completed industry standard testing certification.
Experience and exposure to SOX compliance and audits is a plus
