Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the internal financial reporting process.
Prepare and manage weekly meetings for banking weekly registers, check processing, and AP/AR weekly reporting.
Oversee the month-end close process and conduct continuous balance sheet and income statement analysis.
Review and post complex and adjusting journal entries on a monthly basis.
Assist Senior Management in researching and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
Prepare and review monthly internal financial statements by mid-month of the following month.
Manage relationships with overhead vendors, including IT/Cybersecurity services, hardware providers, insurance providers, etc.
Prepare percentage of completion schedules and documentation for quarterly and year-end deliverables.
Handle payroll processing and employee expenses.
Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in various departments.
Oversee the daily workflow of the department and provide constructive performance evaluations.
Manage employee hire packages and company benefits.
Liaise with company benefit vendor providers for employee benefits.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of construction accounting experience.
Expertise in Sage 100, ProCore, Clock Shark Integration, COIs, Levelset/Lien Releases coordination, and weekly financial meetings.
Experience in preparing and coordinating monthly financials and reporting to CFO and CPA for Bonding.
Proficient in project accounting, server/IT management, and office management.
CPA, CA, or similar certification preferred.
Strong analytical and technical accounting research skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Previous experience with mid-sized ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
Integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
