YOUR ROLE The Manager of Accounts Receivable, under the general direction of the Director of Revenue, will be assigned a wide variety of tasks, including general accounting associated with the monthly, quarterly and year-end closings, and financial reporting of results and analysis. Additionally, the Manager of Accounts Receivable will be primarily responsible for supervision of accounts receivable, and working on credit review, keep past due balances and write-offs at minimum level, therefore, must have previous experience performing those functions. This person must have knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls. RESPONSIBILITIES • Actively manage the company’s Worldwide accounts receivable portfolio by reducing the delinquent accounts receivable and improving the company’s DSO • Management, oversight and directing the activities of the accounts receivable employees and contractors • Prepare and execute collection plans targeted to reduce the delinquent accounts and DSO • Prepare accounts receivable metrics and analytics on a monthly and quarterly basis and give status updates on the AR as requested
Review new and existing customers on regular basis for creditworthiness and recommend to management on the amount of credit can be allowed • Review and present to the Director of Revenue and VP of Finance the recommended Bad Debt provision charges on a quarterly basis • Responsible for reconciling the accounts receivable related GL accounts to the appropriate sub-ledgers and support • Recommend and implement any accounts receivable or billing system enhancements and implementation. • Interface with and manage any third party vendors related to accounts receivable such as collection agencies. • Ensure that all accounts receivable activities which include but are not limited to: setting up new customers, posting customer payments, answering credit inquiries, making collection calls, generation of invoices and statements for the company’s customers is done in an accurate and timely manner. • Work with the Sales and Operations team to ensure that the company’s customers are treated with care and respect and that customer issues are resolved in a timely and appropriate manner. KEY REQUIREMENTS • BS degree in Accounting or related field required • 5+ years of relevant experience in processing the full cycle of Accounts Receivable • Public accounting background preferred • Prior experience in a high transactional, low dollar accounts receivable environment is beneficial • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel is required • Proficient in MS Office applications is required • Experience with ERP accounting system /NetSuite is strongly preferred • Must have strong oral and written communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills to work effectively with other members of the team and other departments • Able to multitask and work under tight deadlines
Must be able to apply accounting knowledge to day-to-day operations and assigned projects • Strong technical expertise in area of responsibility is required • Demonstrate participation in a business process improvement • Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts receivable systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures • Effectively and professionally present information and respond to questions from managers,employees, vendors and/or customers with knowledgeable, respectful, and solutions-orientated approach
