Compensation: $16 to $18 per hour
Location/Travel: Based out of our corporate office in San Antonio, occasional local errands as needed
Job Summary:
The Billing AR Specialist for Patient Accounts is a key member of the billing department here at Circle of Care. A lot of customer service for outbound or inbound calls, keeping up to date on all changes in the industry, and reporting internal processing errors. There are some receptionist duties, and intake coordination, when necessary while maintaining a flexible schedule/hours.
One must conduct oneself in accordance with the company employee handbook, and all other responsibilities/tasks as required, ongoing, and assigned. Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for contacting patient families regarding aging invoices, payment status, and insurance information when applicable
Prepare invoices for patient visits and procedures for assigned locations
Recognize issues that may arise when processing or performing all tasks assigned and report such issues to the manager
Perform an audit to ensure that all payments, or charges, are in balance or take the appropriate action
Appropriate action includes communication with the manager or controller
Use analytical skills to problem-solve when discrepancies occur
Able to answer basic Accounts Receivable process/billing questions posed by various internal/external parties in a timely and knowledgeable manner
Works cooperatively within Accounts Receivable to ensure that all tasks are completed and necessary coverage for all individuals is achieved as noted by the supervisory review.
Exceeding this standard involves a willingness to help whenever needed without being asked and prioritizing one's own workload to accomplish this

Education and Experience:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED required
2 or more years experience in a similar position
Excellent communication skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment & be highly organized
Knowledge and use of Microsoft Products: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
Good organizational skills for accuracy and speed are necessary for data entry into a personal computer
Ability to be punctual and meet consistent attendance
Must be flexible to changing work conditions, including daily duties and month-end hours
Work requires prolonged periods of concentration working on detailed reports
