Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer for a h ** y brid **opportunity **** to be based in New Orleans, Louisiana .

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Undertaking design activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal DOD facilities, coastal defense, and development schemes

Civil design for terminals across the United States

Independently prepare engineering related calculations and develop civil technical specifications, plans, and details

Provides guidance to entry level engineers

Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works

Qualifications:

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Professional Engineering Registration Louisiana or ability to obtain it immediately upon start

Valid Driver’s license required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters of Science in Civil Engineering or related field + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Proficient in CAD and design software

Experience in the design of marine terminals, naval facilities, and port facilities

Experience in Site Development and Utility Design

Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
