Job Description Job Description Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the warehouse operations and vehicle and equipment management for a fast-growing leader in concrete surfacing. This includes planning inventory, procuring materials and managing maintenance schedules on all fleet vehicles and equipment. The role will help to ensure warehouse efficiency and help avoid interruption of services from faulty equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-starter with great organizational and mechanical skills helping to foster efficiency and reliability with company vehicles and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations
Monitor warehouse inventory and procure materials
Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment
Track preventative maintenance schedules on fleet vehicles and powered equipment
Perform necessary maintenance to powered tools and equipment
Coordinate repairs for out of service equipment and vehicles with crews
Conduct weekly vehicle inspections for safety and operational issues
Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure we receive optimal rates
Managing vehicle and equipment licenses and registrations
Track and report on GPS and Fleet Cam outages and/or anomalies
Analyze and identify opportunities to optimize the effectiveness of fleet operations
Maintain departmental compliance with company policies and procedures
Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:
Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
Required Education and Experience:
High school or equivalent
3-5+ years of inventory control/warehouse environment
2+ years of experience in warehouse management and/or fleet management
2+ years of experience in procurement or logistics
Previous experience with gasoline, diesel, and small engine maintenance
OSHA 10 card
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain/logistics or accounting
3+ years of experience in warehouse management and/or fleet management
3+ years of experience in procurement or logistics
3+ years of experience with gasoline, diesel, and small engine maintenance
Experience using GPS fleet tracking software and other organizational computer applications
OSHA 30 card
OSHA Forklift certification
