JOB DESCRIPTION : The Director of Finance will manage and lead key strategic projects that deliver process improvements to the finance organization at DEUX, often cross-functional with Operations and Sales. The Director of Finance will participate in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) , track business and performance insights and manage the company’s financial statements. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and corporate finance. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Lead the development and execution of the company's financial planning process, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives with minimal guidance
Create and oversee the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and CEO to develop accurate and realistic budgets
Work in Bill.com to receive and process invoices, update QuickBooks, and coordinate with vendors.
Improve the accounting monthly close process and scope to reduce cycle time and improve efficiency utilizing ERP system DEAR
Monitor and analyze budget variances, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions to achieve financial target
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and financial performance metrics
Prepare and present financial reports and presentations to senior management and investors
Partner with the business to define, own, and drive relevant and timely KPI reporting
Provide financial support for strategic initiatives, new product development, and potential acquisitions or partnerships
Improve processes and use of systems to automate work
Assess and improve the maturing inventory process, reducing waste and creating a more financially efficient process
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Advanced proficiency in financial software (including Quickbooks) and tools, such as ERP systems (DEAR), budgeting and forecasting software, and data visualization tools a must
CPG Experience or specific commercial experience in the food industry preferred
Project management experience preferred
Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills
Proven ability to interact effectively with multiple levels of the organization
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Engineering
Minimum 7 years of finance experience
