Role Description:
Construction Manager/PM collaborating with a hyper-scale data center company. This person will oversee the general contractors and manage the project through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare comprehensive scopes and RFPs
Strong knowledge of manufacturing lines including electrical & mechanical systems
Create and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, RFI’s, Change Orders, etc.
Motivate, develop and maintain subcontractor interest in the project(s)
Administer the Construction Contract from inception through construction to project closeout
Prepare and manage project budgets
Manage and administrate payment application documents
Interface with local building department to obtain necessary permits, and coordinate project close-out with building and engineering officials
Manage construction scheduling and sequencing, anticipate long lead items, and recognize critical paths
Advise the client regarding the Construction Contract and all related matters of the Project
Verify and validate the General Contractor receipt of OFCI equipment
Monitor and enforce the health and safety requirements onsite
Schedule and conduct Owner, Architect, and CM meetings, prepare and distribute minutes of these meetings
Hold weekly production and/or safety meetings
Review Jobsite progress with an eye toward quality, conformance to drawings and specifications, etc.
Report to senior leadership on all cost schedule risk and quality issues
Additional duties as assigned
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or a related field is a plus
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Construction Project Management.
Experience working in hyper-scale data centers is a plus
Thorough and complete knowledge of the construction process and management techniques, methods, and materials.
Outstanding negotiating skills
Team player with the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
Must be proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook
Organized and detail oriented
