Compensation : $130,000 - $140,000 Base, strong bonus plan (10%-20%), excellent benefits package

OVERVIEW: SR. DBA - SQL
The Sr. Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining RDBMS structures to support business needs and application development, utilizing strong communications and prioritization skills. Coordinates, reviews, analyzes, and approves the physical requirements of databases and all associated objects such as, but not limited to, tablespaces, tables, views, and indexes. Provides performance related support to the applications that access the RDBMS structures. Performs installation and maintenance of database related software. Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Writes database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary. Serves as a mentor for other members of the Database Administration Group. Provides database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions. Provides project leadership ability for short and long-term projects. Assists users in the use of database related tools and in coding of efficient data access.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: SR. DBA - SQL Bachelor's degree or related year for year experience
6 years' work experience with Relational Database Management Systems with a combination of DB2, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
6 years' work experience with systems development methodologies
6 years' work experience with the design, creation, and maintenance of database structures.
6 years' work experience with the development and revision of database standards, procedures, and strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES: SR. DBA - SQL Develops, implements, and maintains RDBMS data structures in test, quality assurance and production environments utilizing current standards and procedures, inclusive of on premise and cloud environments.
Provides performance-related support and system related support for RDBMS data structures in test, quality assurance, and production environments utilizing current toolsets.
Ensures database connectivity requirements are met and be able to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Responsible for capacity planning and installation of database software including upgrade and patch management.
Communicates regularly with technical, applications, and operational staff to ensure the database integrity and security.
Controls access permissions and privileges. Assists users in the use of database related tools and in coding of efficient data access.
Provides project leadership ability for short- and long-term projects.
Provides 24 hour on-call support on a rotation basis.
Deals with and prioritize several tasks simultaneously.
