**Description**
**SUMMARY:**
The Regional Warehouse Manager is responsible for all warehouse functions for the Distribution Centers (DCs) within their region. The Regional Warehouse Manager leads and manages a team of warehouse employees. At their local branch, they may also oversee the day-to-day work of vending support employees in partnership with their Managers.
The Regional Warehouse Manager will lead, direct and be involved in all warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, vending replenishment and deliveries. They will research and resolve complaints to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. They will help with local decisions when needed and any facilities requirements.
The Regional Warehouse Manager will travel periodically to visit, spend time with and oversee their assigned DCs.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Directing, coordinating, managing and controlling the following within the assigned facilities:
+ Provides leadership and manages supervisors across multiple facilities to meet and exceed business goals, customer service, productivity, and quality
+ Works with and mentors supervisors in assigned region to develop leadership skills and build an environment that supports world class customer service and satisfaction
+ All activities related to the efficient processing of inbound and outbound freight, and maintaining daily operations and timely order processing
+ Prioritize, schedule and expedite work orders and communicate the information to team members at the beginning of each day and throughout the day; ensure inventory, components and consumables are available for the work to be performed
+ Leverage resources and coordinate with staff to ensure work is appropriately distributed in order to meet our shipping commitments
+ Ensure all orders are of the highest quality and completed on-time; ensure properly scheduling of deliveries and customer satisfaction
+ Oversee all Inventory Management activities as needed including: cycle counting, bin programs, general inventory maintenance and annual physical inventory
+ Respond to customer or vendor questions to resolve potential issues regarding distribution services
+ Participate in the development and implementation of service and productivity improvement initiatives to increase customer satisfaction and improve operating expense
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with Outside Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Accounting, Integrated Supply and other corporate departments
* Maintains employee morale while servicing customer at economical cost; supports branch sales plan for growth and margin improvement
* Monitor and review employee performance to operational metrics, order processing and service level reporting; conduct performance appraisals and promote career development.
* Ensure that progressive coaching and counseling concepts are conducted according to established policies and procedures
* Handling customer interactions, questions and concerns via phone, e-mail and mail, on occasion, to ensure customer retention and satisfaction
* Support timekeeping and scheduling for local and regional branch employees
* Analyzes reports to identify potential operational deficiencies and take corrective actions
* Maintain branch facility, safety standards, warehouse and office equipment
* Other duties as assigned
* Reports to the Director of Distribution Operations
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**
* Bachelor's degree in a related field or three years of customer service and warehouse experience
* Industry knowledge highly preferred
* Ability to lead and manage a team of warehouse and customer service employees
* History of successful warehouse and customer service roles
* Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time
* Proven ability to use operating systems and other third-party software to service customer needs effectively
* Passionate, Adaptable, Customer Focused and Teamwork oriented
* Strong sense of urgency and accountability
* Moderate to advanced skills in technology; Excel experience is preferred
* Excellent listening skills and empathize with customers
* Thorough, organized and systematic in approach to work
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Skilled at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
* Ability to manage self in a fast-paced business environment
* Professional maturity, integrity and a positive attitude
