Manager, Partnerships

Imagn Content Services is the news media agency division of Gannett comprising of USA TODAY NETWORK and USA TODAY Sports Images.

Imagn is seeking an enthusiastic, independent, proactive self-starter Manager, Partnerships. Reporting to the Director, Sales, this position will help grow the agency business across news and sports.

Among the key sports initiatives, this position will help develop the pipeline for Imagn’s nationwide roster of clients, support sport league partnerships, and champion relationships with Imagn’s direct and 3rd party clients.

In the news group, this position will work with the sales and marketing team to expand Imagn’s footprint in news media syndication.

This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the US, except for Alaska and Hawaii.

Responsibilities:

Become an expert in Imagn’s services across verticals including images, video, articles, and audio.

Support all types of customers, new and existing.

Negotiate pricing, manage delivery of content and execute licensing agreements.

Coordinate with commercial partners and internal stakeholders to execute commercial photography assignments.

Execute a customer success model approach to optimize revenue.

Understand calendar of events to drive sales and content usage.

Coordinate with production team when needed to fulfil customer requests.

Ability to provide basic revenue & expense expectations.

Ability to gather information about a client’s topic, review that information, analyze and research the information to bring a solution to the client.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2-4 years related experience.

Skilled in solution selling.

Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Significant knowledge of professional soccer, particularly in the US, Mexico, and Canada.

Significant knowledge of the college sports landscape.

Passion for new technology and innovation.

Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a busy environment.

Strong interpersonal and judgement skills to work with a broad range of individuals.

Experience in a role related to sports media preferred.

Knowledge of media, publishing and technology referred.

Proficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, various CRMs, Google Sheets, Dropbox, Image Editing Tools like Photoshop and other tools for building presentations, sales collateral and creating reports.

Business fluency in a second language besides English preferred.
