The Director of IT provides leadership, strategy, and tactical oversight for the design, deployment and administration of network and systems environments, technical support services, and end user devices; the Company’s ERP and Financial systems, desktop solutions and applications, telecommunications; business intelligence and reporting, and the company’s cloud infrastructure. The Director of IT contributes to the development and execution of tactical and operational plans that support Company’s mission and strategic plan including continual service improvement, project planning, budgeting, cyber security, audit and compliance, vendor relations, and team leadership.

What Will You Be Doing?
Explore, assess and report on viability of new and emerging technologies and their possible application within the company environment and processes.
Develop, propose, implement and maintain effective policies and procedures for use in IT operations and employee use of technology.
Ensure access, security controls and usage of applications and services are in accordance with organizational policies, applicable laws and best practices
Maintain effective working relationships and act as the primary point of contact for vendors and solution providers within the IT operations area (helpdesk and infrastructure vendors)
Provide coordination and leadership during planned and unplanned system outages; manage IT change management process
Provide leadership for report writing and business intelligence solutions
Select, lead and mentor team members, ensuring high performance and on time delivery of assigned projects, tasks, and overall work effort. Establish professional development plans for staff, and conduct hiring, training, and performance reviews.
Develop and retain Team Members through ongoing feedback, training, coaching and performance evaluation
Review, evaluate, and establish KPIs and SLAs for IT Operations Teams (Infrastructure, application availability, and Help Desk).
Develop reports/dashboards to measure team performance in meeting deliverables and progress toward established goals

What Will You Bring?
An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or a related field of study or relevant work experience.
Understanding of Cyber Security risks, tools, and practices, Security Certifications a plus
Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring and growing IT teams
Working knowledge of networking, systems, services, protocols, telephony, and cloud platforms
Ability to translate technical solutions to user friendly explanations and training.
Experience managing and leading customer focused (internal and external) service/help desk.
Experience with Office365 and other SaaS based platforms preferred
End Point Security
Ability to stay abreast of emerging technologies and discern applicability and viability to existing environment and future initiatives.
Strong project management and planning skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be detail-oriented
Ability to work independently, resourcefully seek answers, and remove obstacles
Complex problem-solving and analytical skills
Results oriented with the ability to consistently meet deadlines
Accountable and takes ownership
