VP of Information Technology

We are searching for an experienced and dedicated VP of Information Technology to oversee the use of Information Technology (IT) in our company. You and your team will devise the company’s IT strategy and ensure that all systems and processes necessary to support its operations and objectives are in place. A successful VP of IT should have in-depth knowledge of the current and up-and-coming trends in the IT field.
Responsibilities:
Advocate for the business within IT, and advocate for IT within the business.
Has significant knowledge in subject matters pertaining to both IT and the business areas. Proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of businesses.
Serve as the key liaison between C-Suite and the businesses as it pertains to IT needs and strategy.
Set objectives and strategies for the IT department that align with business objectives. Work with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g., return on investment, productivity, compliance).
Establish, direct and complete IT-related projects in the rollout and execution of approved IT strategies.
Develop, implement, and maintain an effective information security program which includes procedures and policies to protect the company’s systems and assets from internal and external threats
Define and execute on detailed integration plans for mergers and acquisitions.
Identify, select, and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits to create a sustainable competitive advantage.
Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers.
Requirements:
Proven experience as VP of IT, CIO or similar managerial role
Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementations
Solid understanding of master data management, data analysis, budgeting, and business operations
Experience with mergers and acquisitions
Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
A strong strategic and business mindset
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Bachelor’s Degree; 15 years’ experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
