Position Overview
The Accounting Manager is responsible for all accounting and related compliance activities in Ceribell.
What You'll Do
Lead the finance team in the month/quarter/year end close process
Take ownership of accounting close for areas of functional responsibility, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
Act as the key point of contact with our internal and external auditors
Take lead on monthly revenue reconciliation process
Perform monthly analysis of account balances and expenses versus budgets
Perform quarterly flux analysis of the balance sheet and income statements
Become a thought leader on technical accounting matters along with drafting of technical accounting memos and process flow charts
Manage key financial systems. and assist with system implementation projects
Identify and design any financial controls needed and ensuring internal controls operate effectively
Submission of monthly sales tax to various state government agencies
Develop and perform procedures to ensure SOX compliance
Prepare accounting schedules and analysis routinely, and as requested, for internal and external reporting and audit requirements
Team up with cross functional teams to implement accounting process improvements
Establish rapport with other team members, build effective relationships, and share wins and successes
Complete ad hoc projects and support accounting operations as necessary
What We're Looking For
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a public company or as an auditor (Big 4 experience a plus)
Experience dealing with IPO or public company clients
Preferably with CPA or working towards CPA designation or equivalent certification.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or its equivalent
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles (US GAAP)
Ability to work independently with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to apply policies and standards consistently
Able to meet deadlines
Experience with ERP systems a plus

Compensation Range
$140,000—$145,000 USD
