We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Director, Operations with experience leading all back office activities of a C&I electricity retailer. This is a full time position that offers the flexibility of hybrid work. As a Director, Operations, you will play a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the fulfillment of retail electricity contracts to end use customers and any associated broker commitments. This dynamic and fast-paced position involves working with a multi-functional team, building tools to manage workflows and measure outcomes, and ensuring customers and brokers are served to the highest levels. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enrollments, transactions, billing, customer service, and broker payments. Responsibilities Customer Enrollment: Ensure customers are enrolled on-time per contracts. Manage exceptions and communicate those exceptions to the team. Work with IT/vendors to ensure systems are efficient and automated.
Billing: Ensure customer bills are issued on time and accurately. Includes ability to create complex billing scenarios as appropriate to customer products. Manage exceptions and communicate those exceptions to the team.
AR/Collections: Manage accounts receivable balances and associated steps to reduce collections needs. Work with collections resources as needed for any unpaid balances.
Customer Service: Lead customer service for retail customers to provide high quality assistance across multiple channels.
Broker Service: Lead broker service to include measuring and executing broker payments, and addressing any broker inquiries.
Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the success of the Retail team and Gridmatic as a whole.
Qualifications Minimum 7 years of commercial work experience in the power markets in the U.S. is required with a proven history of executing successful transactions or supporting major transactions.
Knowledge of power and environmental products markets. Understanding of relevant RTO’s or bi-lateral market concepts. Knowledge of ERCOT and PJM markets is a plus.
Must be self-motivated and capable of setting and executing strategy to accomplish goals.
Experience working to and exceeding targets.
Some travel required to interface with customers.
Legal authorization to work in the US.
$100,000 - $150,000 a year
