Senior Manager, Global Strategic Sourcing - Fleet
Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader in secure transportation services, is seeking an experienced Senior Fleet Manager in Global Strategic Sourcing for a hybrid opportunity in Dallas, Texas! This candidate will offer experience in fleet sourcing and offer extensive sourcing experience developing and driving RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s. This Fleet Manager will also offer a minimum of 3 to 8 years of strategic sourcing experience in a large, global company environment. This candidate will be able to create a 3-year execution plan and strategy for the global fleet category, and present both to internal customers and the Senior Leadership for endorsement.

Experience of the right candidate:
Minimum of 3 to 8 years’ strategic sourcing experience in a large, global company environment.
Minimum of 3 to 8 years’ experience negotiating highly complex contract terms in a high spend, multi-country environment.
Minimum of 3 to 8 years’ experience utilizing global spend analytics to identify strategic sourcing opportunities.
Demonstrated experience in Fleet Sourcing.
Demonstrated experience in sourcing both globally and for a global organization.
Extensive sourcing experience developing, driving RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s
Demonstrated skill and experience in developing detailed global category strategies, multi country and sub category relationships.
Extensive knowledge of Fleet suppliers and up-fitters
Extensive knowledge of total cost of ownership.
Senior / executive level stakeholder relationship management experience
Experience in complex or technical category strategy development and execution in a high spend global environment
Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred, or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical skills inclusive of using and constructing working cost models.
Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings.
Expertise in cost drivers, market condition evaluation, supplier production processes, and supply chain practices.
Proven negotiation skills including a history of negotiating complex business issues and risk assessment.
Leadership skills across external and internal teams.
Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) internally and externally.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, resolve problems, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Advanced project management, negotiation, contractual skills.
Advanced experience driving KPI performance vs. targets.
Ability to influence across business and departmental lines.
Strong consultative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.
High level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality of information when required.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:
Engagement with all fleet related activity in direct coordination with Operations teams. The GFSM strives to generate and deliver ongoing value through year-over-year savings/cost avoidance while ensuring strong supplier performance and high level of services.
Set category strategy with aggressive targets aligned with strategic sourcing and business needs, and challenge and review it on a regular basis.
Create 3 year execution plan and strategy for global fleet category, and present both to internal customers and the Senior Leadership for endorsement.
Lead Global Fleet Category Management.
Provide expert-level category knowledge, with knowledge of the supply base and global market (prices and practices).
Solicit input from global and regional site sourcing/procurement and regional operations to develop understanding of sub-category and regional differences.
Drive rigorous implementation of prioritized initiatives.
Monitor and explore external trends and factors that impact category strategies.
Create/Update applicable policies/procedures/processes for categories.
