**Summary:**
The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for ensuring that customers are satisfied in every possible way by ensuring consistent application of customer service / sales procedures that include positive and effective communication with customers. Provides the Store Manager with assistance to keep the store operating efficiently, from ordering inventory and helping prepare lease agreements to generating store reports and responding to customer complaints.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
* Ensures high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience
* Assists Store Manager in motivating and inspiring team to achieve store productivity goals through coaching and feedback
* Sets daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals and ensures the store meets those goals by training, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales team members
* Facilitates daily renewals huddles and gains commitments on daily renewals goals
* Updates the sales & renewals goal boards daily
* Ensures execution of the RCO Flow, including telephone and showroom sales.
* Ensures execution of our Customer Service programs
* Assist in Maintaining outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
* Facilitates and reconciles store inventory as directed by store manager
* Handles service issues for customers and resolves customer opportunities promptly and immediately
* Responsible for authorizing customer returns with the mission of saving customers
* Assists Store Manager with weekly product ordering, and planning for future promotions and events
* Ensures inventory movement at the back door when Inventory Supervisor is not available
* Upholds the Aarons brand and protect company assets
**Required Skills and Competencies:**
* High School diploma or equivalent
* 3 years of completed college course work or 3 years of retail management experience
* Proven track record of successful selling skills and performance
* Demonstrated selling skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of merchandising and marketing
* High energy level and self-motivated
* Organized and demonstrates superior attention to detail
* Excellent phone etiquette
* Proficient computer skills
**Physical Requirements:**
* Position requires bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time
* Position requires lifting, loading, and moving up to 50 pounds of merchandise alone or up to 300 pounds with assistance
