Director of Sales

Position Overview

The Director of Sales is responsible for hiring, managing, and mentoring the sales team to meet and exceed their revenue goals. Our Account Executives are responsible for maintaining high activity standards, prospecting, and qualifying leads, and entering sales activities into CRM (Zoho). AV Concepts strives to provide an excellent experience to our customers from the RFQ process to post-show close. In this role, you will report to the President and will continue to define and develop sales plans, strategies, best practices, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all day-to-day group sales and team environments.

Partner closely with the Marketing Manager on buyer personas, sales materials, support and lead generation campaigns.

Responsible and accountable for department budgets including forecasting and distributing reports to the executive team.

Partner with the CRM Specialist to develop the overall system and performance enhancement of CRM as a sales forecasting tool.

Monitor all AE CRM activity and hold the team accountable for accuracy.

Accountable for all inbound lead distribution by determining which sales team member is the best fit for the client.

Set individual goals by year and quarter to achieve the business sales goals.

Engage in repeat business capture and growth of existing vertical opportunities.

Review and approve the sales team's travel and expenses.

Responsible for the team's salaries, and commission sales plans.

Coach, mentor, and develop the sales team members and career paths.

Other duties assigned by the President.

Job Qualifications

Proven track record of building sales profitability in a competitive business environment.

Well-developed sales, people, communication, and sales policy experience.

Experience building and managing payout of sales commission plans.

Experience with CRM, sales forecasting, and reports.

5+ years of people management experience.
