Basic Duties
Ameriflight mechanics work on aircraft from nose to tail, which means they are able to gain unique expertise that cannot be found anywhere else.
Perform all manner of maintenance on Ameriflight aircraft in accordance with company policy, manufacturer’s recommendations and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Inspect, troubleshoot and repair airframe and powerplant components and systems
Document work completed per company procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations
Maintain a clean and safe work area
May be required to tow aircraft and perform minor maintenance on GSE equipment as needed
Other duties as assigned
Experience
Previous experience with Ameriflight fleet types; Beechcraft 99 and B1900, Embraer EMB-120, Fairchild SA227 and Saab 340 aircraft is preferred
Previous experience with GE T700/CT7, PT6A, PW118 and TPE331 series powerplants preferred
Experience within a fast-paced, scheduled maintenance operation
General Requirements
Must hold a valid FAA Aircraft Mechanic certificate with Airframe & Powerplant ratings
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be eligible to work in US
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and be able to communicate effectively with other employees
Must be able to interpret documents such as policy, repair and safety manuals
Must be able to work various shifts
Positive disposition, professional attitude, professional appearance
Successful completion of pre-employment required DOT drug screening and other required background checks
May travel for training, to repair aircraft in the field, and to provide temporary support for other bases
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check
Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria
Physical Requirements
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75
Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Ameriflight is an E-Verify participant

May work outdoors, in weather as necessary

May work in a potentially noisy work environment
