Airgas Dry Ice is currently seeking a Regional Manager of Operations who has oversight of our plants in the Western part of the US. The Regional Manager focus will be:
Ensuring all facilities adhere to OSHA general standard as it relates to a manufacturing facility, Safety SOP’s, P/L management and Labor Cost Management.
Workforce Planning/ Scheduling
Collaborate with regional sales, management, and customers to insure high customer
Process Improvement/Quality efforts (Six Sigma Lean)
Manages all operations personnel in region in accordance with company policies by hiring, training, motivating, planning and directing work, managing performance and resolving associate issues so that assigned performance targets are met or exceeded. Oversee the operations to ensure safety, efficiency and productivity.
Works with management team to develop operating and capital budgets and coordinates capital expenditures once proper approvals have been received.
Manage the Process Safety Management (PSM) program.
Works with safety personnel to coordinate the procedures required for compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA and state regulations.
Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure customer needs are met in the most profitable and efficient manner.
Develops, implements and revises as needed, standard operational practices.
Interact with other Airgas group companies as needed to ensure consistent supply of products sourced from Airgas Dry Ice.
________________________ Are you a MATCH? QUALIFICATIONS:
7+ years experience in a significant leadership role of more than 3 production facilities in an industrial, manufacturing environment
Ability and desire to provide top notch leadership
Understanding of financial reports, budgetary methods and forecasting
Travel up to 50% REQUIRED
High potential Operations or Production, and Plant Mangers ready for the next level are encouraged to apply.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience, to include military experience. (Associates degree or High School diploma with formal technical training considered in conjunction with extensive, relevant experience).
Additional formal training in one or more of the following is desired: Hydraulics,Industrial Refrigeration, Reciprocating and Screw type Compressors, Manufacturing processes.
