Position Summary
Responsible for the design and implementation of custom software/hardware used to control automated testing. This position also involves system integration and troubleshooting, occasionally interfacing with customers, and providing on-site support of delivered systems as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Designs cables, ICDs, and PCBs per customer and project requirements and project budget constraints.
Reviews and approves product specifications and customer user documentation for the product.
Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests from program managers, customers, and manufacturing.
Completes projects by supporting production requirements during the assembly process.
Takes ownership of goals, project schedules, and milestones.
Effectively diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions.
Follow and implement design standards.
Ability to document and follow the process flow on the Engineering Change Request (ECN) and submits for revision.
Requirements
Required Skills and Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with Altium Designer preferred.
Experience using Zuken E3 Series software a must
Able to code with a high-level programming language, such as Python, C++, or similar.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Work effectively in a group development environment.
Education, Experience, and Other Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
Engineering co-op or intern experience preferred.
Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident (due to company contracts falling under the ITAR).
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
