Vice President of Sales

The Vice President of Sales will be the lead senior sales executive for the professional activities of PRN Vision Group.
Position Overview:
As the VP of Sales, you will be responsible for the development of sales strategy as well as managing the professional eye care P&L and delivering the annual budget and revenue growth.The VP will oversee andleadthe sales functionand team by developing andimplementinganational sales plan, performing theseduties personally or throughtheleadership ofAccount Managersand/or sales personnel. The VP of Sales will staff, develop, andlead the professional sales, sales support, and customer service teams. This role will be part of the Executive Leadership Team and is considered a key position in driving the company’s growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
•Developing plans and strategies and sales processes to grow existing business and develop new business to meet revenue objectives.
•Staff, manage, and develop the PRN sales team.This includes development, growth, sales strategy, compensation, and incentive programs, as well as needed performance management.
•Create and manage the sales budget and sales forecasting for PRN product sales and other sales activities. Report sales results and plan development to the CEO and company Board as required.
•Develop and manage sales commission plans that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets. Must be willing to get into the field and travel with territory reps to coach best practices and assist in development initiatives.
•Work with Marketing, Education, Supply Chain, IT, Analytics, and Finance to develop tactics and campaigns that drive performance to budget.
•Represent the PRN vision Group at conferences, conventions, trade events and dinner meetings.
•Develop and execute a strategic plan for launching new PRN products.
•Must be able to establish and build trust—both internally with stakeholders and with external partners. Must develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry leaders.
·Establish annual sales targets, operational expense budgets, and department KPIs—ensuring reporting and tracking for all. Provide updated forecasts and guidance for each as directed.
·Travel up to an average of 30% of the time.
Capabilities:
·A proven track record of managing and leading a sales team in the professional eye care industry, or related professional sales management experience.
·Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
·Knowledge of strategies, tactics, and best practices for leading the sales function of a professional eye care company.
·Ability to create and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
·Preferred knowledge of the professional eye care marketplace and dynamics. At a minimum, experience with selling in a professional healthcare environment.
·Must be a creative problem solver and can be flexible in a changing environment.
·Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership.
·Must be a strategic thinker with the ability to identify and evaluate growth opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, or related field required.Master’s degree preferred.
5 years of experience in a sales leadership role.8+ years’ experience preferred.
