This position supports the Director of Finance of CIMIT at Massachusetts General Hospital. The Finance Manger will be responsible for the following:
Responsible for all the post award management including monthly reviews of all CIMIT funds and expenses.
Responsible for reviewing and reporting to Senior Leadership on the status of all sundry accounts.
Distribute the staff salary and efforts in accordance to the work being performed and provide financial impact statements on the changes
Manage and maintain all purchase orders and contracts for all CIMIT purchases and consultants.
Responsible for accurately reviewing and approving all financial reports and invoices.
Maintains strong working relationships with Research Management and Accounts Payable.
Responsible for invoicing and tracking all receivables for any outside vendors for our CRAASH program.
Works closely with the administrative team to make sure that contracts are accurately updated in the system and that they are invoicing in a timely manner.
Create a payment tracker for all invoices sent to Accounts Payable
Responsible for all check requests and wires
Assist in the coordination and development of the annual operating budget process.
Analyze proposed operating budget requests; make recommendations to management regarding proposed spending.
Works closely with the preaward contracting position to ensure all awards and being managed in accordance to sponsor regulations.
Attend relevant meetings to stay up to date with all CIMIT programs and progress.
Attend any relevant hospital meetings to stay current with the changing regulations within Research Management.

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Must be extremely well organized to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under sometimes tight deadlines.
Take-charge ability and excellent judgment in determining and leveraging resources.
Exceptional judgment and discretion in interacting with management on sensitive fiscal and confidential issues.
Strong financial and revenue analysis skills.
Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Access skills.
Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently
Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
2-5 years experience in a financial analysis role.
