Head of Business - Practice & FSP Operations- Life sciences

Responsible for setting up, directing, and executing the life sciences roadmap for the organization. Have the complete responsibility of converting the company into a Data CRO and niche technology solutions partner (Hitech – Cloud, AI/ML, UI/UX, Blockchain, etc.).
Areas of business growth include Data Science/Biometrics (Clinical and Statistical SAS programming, Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, etc.), Regulatory, QA, PV, Clinical Operations, and other emerging technologies like Blockchain, Cloud, etc., applicable to those as mentioned above domains. Includes other IT core areas.
Plans and implements growth plans for services (consulting, staffing, and FSP) and solutions. Geographies covered include North America, India, China, and Europe. FSP, Outsourcing (to India/China), and solutions sales play significant focus on the same.
Works with/Directs sales and sales support staff members to implement growth plans and sales activities.
Participate and Contribute to the Development and implementation of marketing, sales, and business development plans to exceed target levels. Generate new business through strategic-based selling and managing relationships with key customers.
Own the Staffing/FSP/Digital Solutions/Outsourcing practice globally for ACL Digital.
Accurately forecasts new and renewal sales on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Responsible for communication with the management team on technical and business strategies.
Responsible for hiring, directing, and evaluating staff as needed.
Works in conjunction with the Strategic Business Group to negotiate contracts and bids.
Determines equitable sales assignments.
Responsible for timely and accurate forecasting (PTG) for services and solutions.
Experience
At least 15 years of experience in multiple technology areas for the CRO in the data science space.
Should have developed and lead strong global teams
Should understand the life sciences business very well and be able to define the business strategies that align the positioning of Alten at the worldwide level
Should have managed large global teams and developed from scratch businesses.
Should have handled outsourcing activities to India
Should have good knowledge about P&L and other financial metrics and have shown consistent improvements in past experiences.
Strong communicator and logical risk-taker
Very well connected with the decision-makers in the Pharmaceuticals/Biotechs/CRO and the digital solutions space within the life sciences industry.
