Customer Support Specialist

Gallagher Bassett Technical Services, a safety training Consultant Company providing construction site and safety training courses to qualify workers in the NY / NJ area, is seeking a Bilingual Customer Support Specialist

The Customer Support Specialist position requires an organized, reliable, digitally savvy individual with a competitive spirit and a great sense of humor.  This is a full-time position, with no remote options.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Answer phones and provide excellent sales and customer service to callers.

•Manage the student check-in process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all students.

•Enroll students in classes through our online platform or in person, guiding them through the registration process and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

•Coordinate and execute all administrative functions associated with processing of Site Safety Training (SST) card applications. Applications may be submitted in person and online and require detailed data entry, payment collection, and creation through an agency portal.

•Creation of a weekly excel sheet with analysis of SST card applications for management.

•Utilize Zendesk chat to provide real-time support and assistance to customers, resolving their queries and issues promptly.

•Special projects as requested.

•Moderate filing, including management of confidential and secure documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

•Bi-lingual English/Spanish.

•2 - 5 years of front facing and phone-based sales experience

•Exceptional Customer Service skills. We want someone who can make our customers smile!

•Availability to work a flexible schedule; position may require morning, evening, and/or weekend hours. Preference given to candidates available Tuesday – Saturday

•Proficient in basic computer systems (Windows, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel etc.)

•Bachelor’s degree is preferred

This is a full-time position, with no remote options. . Salary is commensurate with experience ($20 to $24 per hour). This position offers paid vacation time in the first year of employment as well as sick days and paid holidays. Full medical benefits available and the option to participate in life/disability insurance and 401K pension plan.
