Estimator Job Description
Our client, an Indiana area construction company, is seeking a project estimator with 4+ years' experience in the estimating and preconstruction of large-scale commercial projects. Experience in concrete, self-perform, healthcare, education, light industrial, and commercial is a plus.
Construction Estimator Duties include:
Accountability for the management of individually assigned construction estimating projects in such a way as to ensure a complete scope of work is documented for combined value analysis.
Works under general supervision and makes decisions based on established procedures.
Responsible for organizing bid solicitations from subcontractors and suppliers, quantitative analysis of project specific elements, reviewing project schedule, costing, risk analysis and understanding project specifications including contract language.
Construction Estimator Requirements:
BA/BS/AS or other accredited degree may substitute for up to 4 years of experience.
Minimum 5 years of work experience in large-scale vertical commercial construction estimating.
Conceptual estimating experience preferred.
Preferred experience with preconstruction estimating.
Preferred experience with scheduling software.
