Accounting Manager or Senior Manager

Our client, a well stablished single family office, is looking for an Accounting Manager or Senior Manager to join their team and support their corporate team.

LOCATION: San Francisco, 1 day per week.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will support the Controller and assist with the investment professionals and business investment entities, and will touch on all aspects of their personal finances and processes associated with their numerous business, investment, and charitable entities.

This position reports to the Controller.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Including, but not limited to:

Accounting for the family office as well as helping out in investment accounting.

Maintain accounting systems for various investment entities;

Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and credit cards for all entities;

Interact with personal, business, banking, and investment representatives, as needed;

Initiate banking transactions;

Bill Pay, make deposits, and perform all other bookkeeping functions;

Maintain Quarterly Report Schedules

Assist in maintaining permanent files.

SKILLS

Including, but not limited to:

Quickbooks Accounting System.

Bill formerly known as Bill.com

Credit Card Reconciliation.

Strong bookkeeping skills to ensure accuracy of financial reports (balance sheet, profit and loss) on a monthly basis.

Personable, outgoing, easy interaction with a range of professional and contract personnel: written and verbal.

Extremely organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.

Exhibits initiative and intuitive ability along with the ability to understand a wide variety of financial arrangements.

Knowledge of FMV accounting, prior Audit experience helpful.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience

Five years experience managing an accounting function with Audit or Investment Entity Experience

COMPENSATION:

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $135K-$185K base + bonus. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
