Upcoming products include DeFi solutions for untapped crypto secondary markets; the TradFi US secondary market size reached $100B in 2021.

About The Role We are looking for a Business Development Lead who can lead growth across our first and upcoming products. You will develop and strategize the growth plan together with the founder. We are a highly autonomous and fast-paced team, meaning that you will have a lot of independence and responsibility right away. It will be up to you to make an impact. Act as an owner and your incentives will be aligned with that of the company.

As we are a pre-seed startup in the most innovative and fastest growing industry, you must be comfortable with change, learning quickly, and building the structure to enable your own success. You will be accountable for driving customer acquisition. Your role will be varied and there is room to shape and expand this role. As we are strategizing for our upcoming products, another key focus will be market research to find the pain points of our customers to see what other solutions need to be built.

The ideal candidate is an experienced BD/growth individual with a measurable track record of driving partnerships and has experience building growth plans without an established “playbook”.

Responsibilities Sourcing & onboarding customers, typically founders, VCs and DAO operators that benefit from a cap table management solution.

Produce creative strategies for targeting decision-makers to book appointments and influence company revenue.

Experiment with and optimize channels to efficiently reach and convert prospects. A non-exhaustive list of channels include Discord, Twitter, Telegram, E-mail, LinkedIn, or cold-calling.

Responding and converting inbound leads from the social channels and the landing page.

Perform market research for prospects’ pain points and additional features that would influence customer acquisition.

Coordinate with the product teams to deliver on client feature- and support requests.

Building and managing key relationships across the web3 ecosystem.

Keep track of news/launches to identify key co-branding / co-creation partnerships that will add value and drive customer acquisition.

Conducting product demos and educating prospects on the product.

Guide prospects through the entire deal lifecycle: initial scoping, framing value, contract negotiations, implementation and customer success.

Representing Exponent in marketing and branding events. Including attending conferences to meet prospective clients, online marketing events, etc.

Requirements 3+ years in a client-facing role, with a measurable track record of building successful partnerships. Technology is a preferred industry, but open to finance, consulting and strategy experience.

A significant existing network across the web3 landscape, from investors and VCs to emerging projects.

Intellectually curious with a strong understanding of crypto. Able to talk in detail about the technical aspects of web3 / blockchain technologies.

Exceptional operational and communication abilities.

Data-driven, strong analytic skills, love to experiment, test & optimize.

An understanding of working in a mobile startup environment. 0-1 operator.

Excellent communication skills verbal and written, not specifically about pitching but being convincing, concise, precise, a good listener and being clear on next steps and always following up on promises.

Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance.

Nice to have:

Familiarity with how crypto-native projects go to market.
