NATURE AND SCOPE: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition, the Recruiter will support the Early Learning and YMCA business units and recruit across a decentralized organization. The successful recruiter will manage and build value-based relationships with managers and candidates. Working in close partnership across the internal functions and teams, the Recruiter will acquire talent with operational effectiveness and best-in-class recruitment strategies. RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to): Proactively source candidates through active networking, resume database searching, internet and social media mining, and creative sourcing methods.
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with hiring managers providing support to meet hiring goals.
Conduct intake calls and standing meetings with hiring managers to ensure understanding of positions and priorities.
Evaluate each candidate’s experience and skill set for abilities and qualifications for each position.
Conduct initial phone screens to ensure candidates meet the profile and qualifications for the position.
Fastidious candidate management and updates in the applicant tracking system.
Present to Hiring Managers those applicants qualified and interested in the position.
Coordinate and ensure timely response or feedback to all candidates that supports a positive candidate experience.
Coordinate events (conference, networking opportunities, group chats, career fairs and social media) to attract qualified candidates.
Build talent pipelines to fill current and future roles to drive improvement in the hiring process.
Coordinate and support pre-employment onboarding and new hire training.
Promote the brand of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta to attract more qualified candidates for our open positions.
Utilize Applicant Tracking System (Workday) to manage searches and the recruiting process.
Ensure compliance in the Recruiting/Hiring process with laws and regulations, including EEO and AAP compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related degree, or applicable job experience in pre-employment HR (talent acquisition or recruiting) OR 3+ years in full lifecycle corporate recruiting
1+ years of full lifecycle recruiting / talent acquisition experience
1+ years of experience with an applicant tracking system
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Must have strong attention to detail, as well as organizational and time management skills
Ability to travel up to 25% to various office sites and career fairs
Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, and problem solve
A working knowledge of applicant tracking systems
Ability to focus on a computer for long periods of time and handle repetitive keyboard work
Local candidate – no relocation assistance will be provided for the position
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years of experience in recruiting in a corporate environment
3+ years of experience in full lifecycle recruiting
Experience with Behavioral Interviewing Concepts
Experience in hiring talent from entry level to management roles
A working knowledge of applicant tracking systems (Workday)
Ergonomics: Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer monitor and type, sit, and stand.
