Accounting Technician
REV Capital is looking for an Accounting Technician to join our growing team! The Accounting Technician will be the main point of contact for our debtors and Accounting team. Reporting to the Accounting department, the Accounting Technician will work closely with our ARS, Accounting, and CRM teams to develop and maintain effective communication and good rapport for smooth collection of receivables.

Responsibilities:
Provide general support to the Financial Controller & CFO.
Establish and maintain a professional relationship with debtors/clients through efficient collection management and communication.
Work with cash posting.
Prepare and compile financial statements.
Ensure consistent communication with the accounting team and Accounts Receivable Specialists (ARS).
Develop and maintain a good understanding of the debtors within the allocated portfolio.
Proactively seek to understand customers to identify early warning signs of credit deterioration.
Communicate any concerns or adverse performance trends noted to the ARS team.
Prepare and assist with tax returns and and other REV bookkeeping services for operations.
Keep concise and up-to-date records in the system to reflect account statuses.
Calculate and prepare cheques for REV operations (payrolls and other bills).
Prepare any financial, and accounting reports for the CFO/Controller.
Perform other related duties and tasks as necessary or assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Completion of courses in Accounting or Bookkeeping required
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or finance role
Familiarity with bookkeeping, data entry, and financial record-keeping
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
Proficiency in relevant accounting software and computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, etc.)
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or irregularities.
Collaborative team player with excellent organizational and time management skills
