Columbia Hospitality is seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development to help grow our company's branded lodging portfolio through network, experience and outward efforts. Our ideal candidate has a strong track record in sales and business development within the hospitality market, leveraging their ability to build solid relationships with industry stakeholders and lead negotiations with prospective clients. This individual will be key in the successful expansion of our managed branding lodging portfolio, with shared successes and considerable potential for uncapped incentives awaiting the right candidate.

What you’ll do:
The Brass Tacks
Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, including lodging brands, franchisors, real estate developers and financial institutions.
Grow Columbia hospitality’s branded third party management business.
Manage portfolio of key revenue opportunities within a designated region, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with lodging owners, investors, and other key stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams to tailor management solutions and proposals to meet the unique needs of potential clients.
Proactively engage with existing clients to identify opportunities for upselling additional services and enhancing the value proposition.
Lead negotiation and contract discussions with prospective clients, ensuring favorable terms and mutually beneficial agreements.
Provide ongoing support and consultation to clients, leveraging expertise to drive operational excellence and maximize profitability.
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows and networking events to promote brand awareness and generate new business leads.
Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the company’s portfolio of branded lodging management contracts.
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities for growth and development within target markets, primarily focused on (but not limited to) branded, full service and limited-service operations.
Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities.
The Nitty Gritty
Minimum of 7+ years of branded lodging operations, sales and/or business development experience in branded, full-service lodging operations required.
Strong sales knowledge within market segment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and negotiate with involved parties.
Possesses solid understanding of hotel management operations, industry trends and market dynamics.
This position requires very frequent travel throughout the United States, including to prospective clients and to Columbia Hospitality’s headquarters.
